Sound Health Report
On a biennial basis, NEIWPCC develops the Sound Health report for the Long Island Sound Study. Sound Health is a report to the public on the environmental issues affecting Long Island Sound. It provides information on water quality, the abundance of animal and plant life in the Sound, and efforts to restore natural areas. Each report also highlights special projects or topics.
The report is distributed as an insert in newspapers local to Long Island Sound, as well as through the mail by request and on the LISS website. In addition to educating the general public, Sound Health has become a valuable tool for classroom education.
