Over the years, NEIWPCC has found that the best way to get the states to share information and insight is through workgroups. On a regular basis, we bring together state and federal agency personnel with expertise in a certain area to discuss problems, share needs, and develop recommendations. The workgroup meetings provide a structured forum for the exchange of ideas and help set our agenda for the important work that remains to be done.
The Pharmaceuticals and Personal Care Products (PPCP) Workgroup brings together New England and New York state agencies, the Environmental Protection Agency, the United States Geological Survey, and academic institutions from around the region to address the issue of PPCPs in our waterways.

PPCP Talking Points - PPCP Talking Points.pdf
The Pharmaceutical and Personal Care Product workgroup has compiled a list of "talking points" for individuals
looking for facts on PPCPs in the aquatic environment of the Northeast. There are several different compilations
of talking points on pharmaceuticals available, each with a slightly different orientation. These talking points
emphasize what is known and unknown about PPCP chemicals and compounds including sources, detection, and disposal.
