New York and New Jersey Green Infrastructure Effectiveness Demonstration Projects

Faced with water quality problems stemming from polluted runoff from parking lots, roads and rooftops, many states, municipalities and private property owners are viewing green infrastructure as a way to both control stormwater and improve the aesthetics of developed environments.  Green infrastructure technologies are designed to infiltrate, evapotranspire, store or reuse stormwater and to mimic natural hydrologic regimes.

NEIWPCC is currently accepting proposals for green infrastructure effectiveness demonstration projects located in the states of New York and New Jersey.  Proposals may include the development of new green infrastructure or may build on or add components to existing projects.  Please see the application materials below for more details.  All proposals must be received by May 14, 2010.

For more information about this project, please contact Clair Whittet, our Stormwater Coordinator.
