Long Island Sound Study Biennial Report
On a biennial basis, NEIWPCC produces the Long Island Sound Biennial Report. The biennial report highlights projects undertaken to improve water quality, restore and protect natural areas, better understand the Sound’s environmental issues through scientific research, and increase the public’s awareness of the Sound. The projects involve the cooperation of a wide range of government agencies, universities, businesses, and community groups dedicated to improving the 110-mile long waterway through Long Island Sound.
The report is distributed through the mail by request and on the LISS website. In addition to educating the general public, Sound Health has become a valuable tool for classroom education. The biennial report is a good resource for learning about efforts to restore and protect Long Island Sound.
