NEIWPCC's involvement in Hudson-related activities extends to supporting the Hudson River Estuary Program's Hudson River Almanac. Formerly an annual print publication, the Almanac recently converted to an electronic version, which is e-mailed weekly to subscribers. The Almanac features day-to-day observations of the Hudson's fish, wildlife, birds, sunsets, storms, migrations, and more, all sent in by researchers, anglers, sailors, bird watchers, schoolchildren, picnickers, and others who delight in the river. The observations in the Almanac provide a sense of the deep attachment and inspiration the Hudson evokes from people who spend time on and along this great waterway.
