2001 Action Plan
In February 2002, the Hudson River Estuary Program released its latest Action Plan, which sets priority goals and describes the projects that will realize them. The plan calls for, among other things, collecting scientific information on Hudson River resident and migratory fish, and it renews a commitment to engage in efforts to track down pollution sources and reduce contamination in the estuary.
Since the first version of the Action Plan was released in 1996, it has set the agenda for the widespread efforts underway to restore the Hudson. NEIWPCC's Bethia Waterman assists with the development of the plans, which can be downloaded from the NYS DEC website.
